Kelvin Grove’s Room 60 now open for breakfast

Hidden amongst the student hub of Kelvin Grove Urban Village is Room 60. A combination of a bar, social space and amphitheater, it is the perfect location to channel your inner creative while enjoying an exotic drink or two.

For a small bar it has an extensive array of drinks options, including deconstructed Japanese plum wine and bison-grass vodka. There’s also a large wine list for the wannabe-sommelier, or options of pear cider and the venue’s own dry lager. Accompanying these are a range of bar snacks that should help to ward away the sharpest of hunger pangs.

For your entertainment there is a constant stream of events on offer – these include artist talks, live music, game nights, film showings and philosophical discussions. Instead of a night surfing the television post a long day, watch a trash movie, learn flamenco or engage in a debate with a professional from the creative industries at this den of culture.

After a successful run as an after-hours meeting ground for students and creative-types alike, Room 60 is now also open for breakfast. From 7:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday to Friday this Kelvin Grove establishment offers coffee and a selection of morning goodies for passersby.
