Sydney’s Hubert restaurant is teaming up with Woolloongabba’s C’est Bon for a very special French feast

If you love French cuisine, this next crossover feast will have you exclaiming, “Oh mon Dieu!” On Thursday March 30, widely adored Woolloongabba restaurant C’est Bon will give over some of its kitchen space to Alexis Besseau, head chef of Swillhouse’s exalted Sydney restaurant Hubert, who will link up with C’est Bon’s culinary lead Andy Ashby for what is being described as a French-on-French collab menu. Here is everything we know so far …

Promised to be one of the most coveted foodie events of the year, this love letter to French cuisine will boast a mouth-watering menu featuring four snacks and four main courses for $185 per person. The flavoursome feast will see chef Alexis Besseau hero the very best local produce for his classic fare, while C’est Bon’s Andy Ashby will be working his own form of magic, dishing up culinary creations with contemporary twists. You can expect to devour the very best of each chef’s one-of-a-kind offerings, including classic French fare like pate en croute, duck a l’orange and French caviar with buckwheat and saltbush, as well as signature dishes such as sweetcorn brulee with scampi.

Taking place in the cosy and contemporary surroundings of C’est Bon’s French Quartier-style bistro, diners will be transported to provincial France through flavour and design. Lucky diners will sip on a spectacular selection of French wines from C’est Bon’s stacked cellar, with in-house sommelier Sebastian Langkamer on hand throughout the evening to ensure every guest is matched with the perfect sip.

Tickets to this French-infused event go on sale this Friday February 24. With only two seatings available tickets are sure to sell out fast, so get in quick and secure your spot by heading to the C’est Bon website.
