Conceptualised by the creative minds at Counterpilot, Whisper Walk is a 35-minute immersive experience that takes tour-goers on an innovative audio exploration of West End. Upon arrival participants are provided headsets and a discovery pack, before embarking on a secret journey throughout West Village. From an ice-cream factory to circus troupes and beyond, you’ll receive directions and clues about specific locations to uncover along the way.

Masterfully curated to guide participants through a unique and captivating piece of Brisbane’s history, this interactive event will allow you to immerse yourself in a fragment of West End’s communal heritage, and unfurling tales that contribute to its distinctive essence. “It’s so interesting to see how Metro Arts is playing into the rich history of West End as a place of bold creativity and risk-taking. The space may have changed radically in the past thirty years, but the spirit of the place is consistent and strong.” says Counterpilot’s director Nathan Sibthorpe. “We hope people get to take a moment to look more closely at something they might have seen before, and appreciate it through a new lens. We hope this brings to life some of the history, the nature, and the culture of the space – but in a way that always keeps us at the centre of the story.”

You can take part in the Whisper Walk on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. For more information and to book your spot head on over to the Metro Arts website
