Floating breakfast and swim-up bar – get the Maldives treatment at Nautilus Beach Club this summer

Did that tropical holiday never make it out of the group chat? Fear not – this inner-city resort has transformed into a Maldivian-inspired paradise this summer. The Westin Brisbane has teamed up with its Maldives sister resort to bring a splash of barefoot luxury to its Nautilus Beach Club.

The sweaty stress of The City’s streets likely has you dreaming of a holiday filled with days spent basking on the beach and savouring a spritz under swaying palms. But don’t book your flights just yet – The Westin’s Brisbane has your summers in The City sorted with the reopening of its beach club sanctuary. The Nautilus Beach Club features the inner-city’s biggest resort pool, with a sprawling lagoon that sits amidst the cityscape. After last year’s smashing summer season in the style of Amalfi Coast, this urban paradise is back and more exotic than ever.

In partnership with sister resort The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort & Spa and Singapore Airlines, The Westin Brisbane has launched its Maldives series, Maldives Moments. Brisbane dwellers are invited to experience an ultimate island escape – complete with floating breakfast, cabana beds and swim-up bar.

The floating breakfast experience is an icon of the Maldives that’s reached viral status for its unbridled luxury. Now you too can soak off summer and feast on delicious breakfasts, fresh fruit, artisanal pastries and a cheeky Mumm moment – all at once and all right here in town. The Westin Brisbane worked with its Maldivian sibling to develop this authentic menu of traditional food, drink and experiences, which capture the vibrant culture the iconic holiday destination. Helmed by executive chef at The Westin Brisbane and previous chef at the Maldivian resort location, Shannon Batten, the beach club’s menu features a range of new and dynamic dishes that celebrate Queensland seafood and Maldivian cuisine.

The flavourful line-up of new dishes is guaranteed to have you drooling. Shannon’s favourites include yellowfin tuna finished with tart tomato salsa and slow-cooked octopus in a tomato and chilli ragout, dusted with lime and toasted coconut. Even more delicious is that you can dine from your cabana bed! On sweltering summer days, beat Brisbane’s heat and never leave the pool with the ease of the swim-up bar, bringing together two of the world’s finest things. You swim whilst Nautilus Beach Club’s mixologists shake up tropical cocktails with a Maldivian twist. There’s simply no better bliss than wading in the turquoise lagoon pool, sipping a mai tai.

For the complete daycation experience, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort & Spa has brought its Maldivian Paradise treatment to Brisbane’s Heavenly Spa by Westin. Finish your beach club day with one of the spa’s many blissful treatments from deep-tissue massages to recharging facials.

Nautilus Beach Club’s Maldives Moments is your haven this summer for all of the trimmings of a tropical vacay – no passport required. Book now for a day of resort R&R and ring in the summer in style. If you’re still left longing for the real thing, guests attending Nautilus Beach Club: Maldives Moments also have the chance at winning a trip to the Maldives, courtesy of Singapore Airlines and The Westin Maldives Resort & Spa!
