Beloved Disney classic Mary Poppins is flying into Brisbane
We saw it on the big screen many moons ago, the stage show has just left Sydney with plenty of rave reviews and now it’s Brisbane’s turn – a supercalifragilistic new production of Mary Poppins flies into QPAC this October for a strictly limited season. Full of heart and some of your favourite songs, this magical stage show is well worth nabbing a ticket, which – you’ll be happy to hear – can be obtained for $45 a pop.
Coming to QPAC from Saturday October 22, Mary Poppins will see the world’s favourite fictional Nanny come to life on stage. This practically perfect production, which was co-created by renowned producer Cameron Mackintosh with a book by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, is adapted from the beloved stories of Queensland-born author PL Travers and the original film. It features all of your favourite Mary Poppins songs including ‘Jolly Holiday’, ‘Step in Time’, ‘Feed the Birds’ and, of course, ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidoc
In great news for avid theatre goers, a digital ticket lottery has launched exclusively through the TodayTix app, with a limited number of $45 tickets available for purchase to every performance. The first digital lottery is now open and will close at 1:00 pm on Thursday October 20 for tickets to performances between October 22–30. Drawn weekly, subsequent digital lotteries will begin each Friday and close the following Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances.
