As June approaches, get ready for Brisbane’s annual culinary celebrations to transform The City into an epicentre of epicurean extravagance. From June 1–30, a sizzling selection of more than 55 of Brisbane’s best restaurants and bars will showcase ​its spectacular food scene with a jam-packed program full to bursting with culinary events as part of Dine BNE City. From urban rainforest soirees to wine walks, sashimi celebrations and much more, here are four flavoursome happenings you won’t want to miss.

Gather in the Garden
The perfect way to Thank God It’s Friday and welcome in the weekend is to head down to Gather Bistro’s Gather in the Garden on June 7. For one enchanted evening, nature’s embrace meets urban elegance in an event tailored to delight all of the senses. Immerse yourself in the lush greenery of a rainforest garden bar, sipping on an array of handcrafted cocktails and spritzes, and snacking on a delectable selection of offerings from classic cicchetti to authentic Roman pinsas, all while the rhythmic beats of a live DJ transport you to a world of sonic serenity. International Sushi Event
Ah, sushi. Such a small dish to give us so much joy. How will you be honouring the heroic sushi this International Sushi Day? Boom Boom Room is inviting you to celebrate on June 18, as it transforms its underground hangout into a haven of sushi and sashimi. Prepare to be captivated by an exclusive banquet curated by the Boom Boom Room’s skilled chefs, while enjoying a premium three-hour beverage package featuring a handpicked selection of sake, beer and wine chosen to complement the flavours of the sushi feast. Urban Wine Walk
The pub crawl’s sophisticated older sibling, Urban Wine Walk returns for another triumphant tour of Brisbane City’s streets and laneways in this ultimate self-guided wine-tasting experience. On Saturday June 29, traverse through a treasure chest of Brisbane City venues like Babylon, Embassy Hotel, Miss Demeanor, Port Office Hotel, The Gresham, Tillerman, Walter’s Steakhouse & Wine Bar and more as they transform into urban cellar doors. How does it work you ask? Simply decide the spot you’d like to start from and you’re off! Choose your own adventure as you and your crew move from venue to venue tasting delicious wines made by top-notch Australian winemakers. Tickets are $82 each and can be purchased here. Madame Wu Wine & Cocktail Dinner
Dinner and drinks? Madame Wu promises only the best with this delightful dinner party partnership. On Wednesday June 12, bask in the venue’s celebrated modern Asian fare, filled with unique Queensland ingredients, like kingfish sashimi with finger-lime dressing, fried zucchini flowers with goats cheese and red pepper salad, and tea-salted duck, soy-milk-braised pork and kimchi jjigae with wok-tossed greens, while toasting a specially picked selection of 6FT6’s handcrafted wines, or Patient Wolf Distilling Co’s lovely mixed cocktails from the Lychee Spritz to the New York Collins (featuring Patient Wolf Summer Thyme Gin, lemon juice, soda, and a red wine float!).
