Port Office Hotel

At the beginning of 2017, the Port Office Hotel underwent a considerable set of changes, as new ownership set about returning the multi-faceted venue to its roots. Three key areas of the venue have been overhauled, resulting in a new dining area in the Port Office Hotel Room, a cocktail dispensary in The Colonial bar and a revamped front bar. The Port Office Dining Room serves a range of excellent modern Australian meals, including fare cooked on an imported rotisserie. Attention is paid to making the most of its produce, with a focus on utilising everything from nose to tail. Carnivores can get their fill of steak, and fans of The Alliance Hotel’s parmesan and herb-crusted veal cutlet should be stoked to know that it is also featured on Port Office Dining Room’s menu. Upstairs you can find The Colonial Bar, which boasts an exemplary cocktail list and a menu of tapas-style bites. Patrons can recline in comfort on the veranda overlooking Edward Street, while a cocktail cart caters to their every drinkable whim. The front bar is still under construction, so be sure to keep your eyes on The Weekend Edition for more information.
