The QUBE Effect closes Brisbane Youth Week

Don’t miss the vibrant closing celebration of Brisbane Youth Week as The QUBE Effect takes to Roma Street Parkland this Sunday.

For one action-packed week, Brisbane City Council has been celebrating local youths with a bunch of activities and events as part of Brisbane Youth Week. Contemporary music program The QUBE Effect helped launch the festival at South Bank Parklands last Saturday April 11 and from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm this Sunday April 19 it will host a closing celebration at Roma Street Parkland.

Watch as talented Brisbane musicians squeeze themselves into small ‘qubes’ on the main stage and perform their tunes live to the audience. Catch local acts like O’ Little Sister, The Brains Trust, The Rocket Sox, Glacier, Mamachair, The Aislinn Sharp Trio and many more. All performances will be filmed and posted online for the public to place their votes for titles including People’s Choice, Best Original Song, Best New Talent and the Caloundra Music Festival Prize. If your ears need a quick time-out on the day, check out the giant games, photo booth, clothing rummage, roving performers and of course plenty of food and refreshments. No bookings are required and entry is free. Find more information online and via Facebook.
