Brisbane City Council’s Brisbane Youth Week will come to an end on Sunday April 19 with a free live-music event in Roma Street Parkland. Contemporary music program The QUBE Effect will see talented local musicians squeezing themselves into small ‘qubes’ on the main stage and performing their tunes live to the audience. All performances will be filmed and posted online for the public to place their votes for titles including People’s Choice, Best Original Song, Best New Talent and the Caloundra Music Festival Prize. Catch local acts like O’ Little Sister, The Brains Trust, The Rocket Sox, Glacier, Mamachair, The Aislinn Sharp Trio and many more, as well as giant games, a photo booth, clothing rummage and plenty of food and refreshments. No bookings are required and entry is free. Find more information online and via Facebook.
