Great news for fans of flamboyant and fabulous frivolity – the team behind beloved The Pink Flamingo Spiegeland Gold Coast is expanding to Brisbane, with plans underway to open a custom-designed, 400-seat, purpose-built Spiegel Pavilion at Northshore Hamilton. The Gold Coast’s two-level venue, which boasts an Art Deco-inspired aesthetic and luxurious accoutrements (think lots of gold and pink velvet) regularly hosts cabaret, burlesque, comedy, acrobatics and drag shows – and its Brisbane sibling is expected to offer the same stellar variety in cushy surrounds. The Pink Flamingo Spiegeland is open now and tickets to its inaugural run of shows – including Vegas-style soiree Suave, pulse-quickening male revue Ripped and sensually provocative Parisian-inspired cabaret showcase La Teaze – are on sale.
