Pitch & Fork

Lovers of Toowong’s Corner Store Cafe have long raved about the eatery’s stellar fare, and now owner Kim Malouf has a second project under her belt, which goes by the name of Pitch & Fork. The cafe is situated just a hop, skip and jump away from Corner Store, in the soon-to-be-finished new Wests Bulldogs Rugby clubhouse on Sylvan Road. Corner Store’s head chef Dylan Brace is overseeing both venues, with Pitch & Fork offering a similar-but-different menu to its sibling. Breakfast time sees the likes of bacon croquettes, hot-smoked ocean trout and potato omelette, and blueberry and ricotta hotcakes grace the menu, while lunch ranges from gourmet burgers to cauliflower falafels and marinated kangaroo fillet. Pitch & Fork sources a vast majority of its produce locally, spotlighting sustainable and ethically sourced produce prominently. In addition to the food, Pitch & Fork serves coffee from Parallel Roasters, organic fair-trade tea from Calmer Sutra as well as smoothies, cold-pressed juices and milkshakes.
