The team behind southside favourite Deedot Coffee House opened its biggest venue to date in July 2023. Spacious cafe Never Been has taken over the ground floor of a new build on Logan Road in Underwood. The Never Been crew (who were also the original operators of neighbourhood haunts Groundhog Social, Banter Coffee House and Three Brews Bar + Kitchen) is doing what they do best – creating a welcoming, relaxed venue that focuses on modern versions of comforting classics, done well. The cafe and event space has a clean industrial feel, featuring polished concrete floors, 15-m-high ceilings and glass walls overlooking a massive outdoor space. Never Been’s breakfast and lunch menu has a similar feel to that of Deedot, alongside Roast by Yili coffee, and rotating tap beers and cocktails. The team is also planning to launch bottomless brunches soon to add to the offering.
