Kuan Yin Tea House

Kuan Yin Tea House is a restaurant that sits alongside a row of Asian eateries, opposite the proud lion statues of Chinatown. The dining den’s menu is based on traditional Taiwanese dishes and is largely vegetarian and vegan, much to the delight of Brisbane’s growing anti-meat community. Alongside a selection of hot and cold drinks (including bubble teas), you’ll find a menu bustling with faux meat dishes and vegetarian options, amongst which the sweet potato fries are particularly popular. There are also vegan-friendly desserts available, including decadent cheesecakes and chocolate and caramel concoctions. Kuan Yin Tea House is very much a casual eating location, with dishes available for relatively little pocket money and takeaway options also on offer.
