Almost two years after its forced closure in February 2022 due to the loss of Toombul Shopping Centre following devastating floodds, Dapple + Waver has opened the doors to its brand-new location. The suburban sip spot has found a new home in the recently developed YG Riverside Village in Yeerongpilly Green, just a stone’s throw from the Brisbane River and Queensland Tennis Centre.

The venue’s established interior aesthetic has also transferred to Yeerongpilly, creating a casual-yet-modern space featuring textured concrete walls, tiled tables and timber and copper finishes, softened by cosy leather banquettes, curved booths and hanging greenery. The rounded timber bar houses an extensive selection of craft and mainstream beers across 12 taps, including frothies from Burleigh Brewing, Green Beacon and Dapple + Waver’s own special brews. A strong list of classic and signature cocktails are sure to keep spirits high, alongside a tight wine list showcasing drops from Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy and Argentina.

Open for lunch, dinner and everything in between, Dapple + Waver offers an approachable menu that is sure to please any palate. Gastropub-style classics such as beer-battered fish and chips, pizzas and burgers all feature, alongside a 300-g MB2+ Riverine Angus striploin, crispy skinned salmon with roast beetroot and quinoa, and smoked brisket ragu with fettuccine. If you’re settling in for a few, the grazing menu is served until late, offering moreish bites like pulled-duck spring rolls, kung pao cauliflower, za’atar-spiced lamb meatballs and choose-your-flavour chicken wings.
