Ravens Lounge Bar on Chevron Island has recently reopened after a major renovation and trust us when we say, the fit-out is seriously next level. White exposed brick is accented by pops of pastel pink and splashes of greenery while glamorous gold birdcage booths padded with plush navy velvet seating line the walls. Chairs suspended by chains from the ceiling hover over the bar and on the far wall, a giant neon sign invites you to save water and drink the wine, something we can totally get behind. Whilst it would be entirely possible to go on and on about the totally Instagram-able decor, it would be remiss not to mention the food and drinks. By day, Ravens offers an all-day breakfast menu filled with healthy options through to delightfully naughty Nutella waffles. If you’re feeling ravenous, rustle up a friend to go halves in the famous Birdcage Tower for two but be warned, it’s a lot of food. We’re talking four eggs, bacon, hash browns, pork sausage, grilled tomato, sourdough, baked beans and hollandaise sauce, and that’s just the first tier! If you have a sweet tooth, the unicorn platter, which is straight out of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory is a must just for the chocolate-coated bacon alone! As the sun sets, the venue transforms into a chic lounge bar with top-notch tipple and belly-lining bar snacks including the must-try southern fried chicken and burgers as well as share towers.
