Sobah and The Good Beer Co. team up for a First Nations-led climate action initiative

We love beer. We also love the Great Barrier Reef. Although unlikely allies, these are the two elements that make up Sobah and The Good Beer Co.’s newest collaboration, the Tropical Lager Coral’ation. This sea-inspired sip is raising funds to launch a ground-breaking new environmental program called Sea Women of the Great Barrier Reef. Here’s all of the important details …

For those who are taking a break from alcohol but love to crack open a tinnie, you’re well catered for thanks to Sobah, a premium non-alcoholic craft beer infused with native Australian ingredients. The Gold Coast-born company has recently teamed up with purpose-led beer company The Good Beer Co. for a First Nations-led climate-action initiative. The result is the Tropical Lager Coral’ation, a tasty new brew that’s helping to fund the Coral Sea Foundation and support First Nations women to take part in Sea Women of the Great Barrier Reef. This ground-breaking program will train First Nations women in marine biology and science to act as leaders and guardians for the Reef and sea country in their local communities.

The joint initiative recently reached $50,000 through crowdfunding website Pozible for First Nations women to attend the Sea Women of the Great Barrier Reef training program. Although not available quite yet, Tropical Lager Coral’ation is being brewed right now by Sobah, and it’s as easy as heading online to get your hands on some! A four pack is $16 with $1 of every pack going towards the Coral Sea Foundation. You can pre-order the limited-edition beer as well as some snazzy merch on the Sobah website, with orders set to be fulfilled mid-October 2022.
