Miss Moneypenny’s exclusive gin dinner to spotlight botanical sips and delicious gin-infused bites

Following the huge success of Miss Moneypenny’s exclusive caviar and champagne dinner, the team is back with the second luxurious culinary event of its continuing dinner series on Wednesday June 21. This time around, the spotlight will be on gin, with botanical beverages and flavour-packed bites aplenty. Here’s a taste of what’s in store …

Miss Moneypenny’s exclusive gin dinner is set to tantalise the senses, with national gin brand ambassador for Pernod Ricard, Ella Jones, hosting the evening. Ella is an expert in all things juniper, having trained under master distiller Desmond Payne MBE at Beefeater in the UK, the world’s most awarded gin. Throughout the evening, Ella will share the stories behind much-loved gin-makers like Ki No Bi, Monkey 47 and Malfy, while you work your way through a three-course culinary journey. The delicious dinner has been curated by Miss Moneypenny’s head chef Tapos Singha, with each course made using the featured gins and paired perfectly to an accompanying tipple.

The sipping and snacking will kick off from 6:00 pm, with guests welcomed into The Rimini Room with a yellowfin tuna tartare cone and one of Miss Moneypenny’s favourite cocktails – an Istanbul iced tea. The entree, a petuna ocean trout, will be lightly smoked with Ki No Tea and cured with salt, sugar and lemon zest, served with a dashi-based dressing of smoked soy and finished with horseradish sorbet. The dish will be paired with a Momo Ocha, a blend of Ki No Tea, T2 Sencha, yuzu, creme de peche and agave. The main course will arrive in the form of a juniper berry-crusted venison loin. It will be dished up with Jerusalem artichoke served two ways, crispy and pureed, with heirloom baby beetroot and served with semolina gnocchi. This dish will pair with a Monkey 47 G&T Version 2.0 – an upgraded G&T with a twist of rosemary and pepper. Last but certainly not least is dessert – a delicious sponge cake soaked in gin and sugar syrup with fragrant bergamot, burnt Italian meringue and coconut crumb. This will be perfectly matched with Malfy gin, sending your taste buds on a trip to Italy (without the hefty plane fare).

Tickets are $159 per person and can be booked at the Miss Moneypenny’s website. Already hungry for more? The next edition of the dinner series is a wagyu and whisky dinner on Thursday August 24.
