Choose your own adventure when art and food come together for Feast in the Forest

If you like your weekend plans to include a variety of activities centred around art, nature and food, you’ll be pleased to know the coast’s next unmissable dining event Feast in the Forest combines all three in one. Tickets are on sale now and here’s everything you need to know.

SWELL Sculpture and The Bower Estate are joining forces for an exclusive one-off lunch, designed to meld art and nature in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland. Feast in the Forest will kick off at 1:00 pm on Sunday May 5, with each dish inspired by the magical surroundings, shining a light on native ingredients. The Bower Estate has partnered with the husband-and-wife team behind Mermaid Beach’s Little Truffle, Daniel and Ruggie Ridgeway, who will craft the one-of-a-kind menu. Guests will sit, sip and graze in the picturesque pine forest, alongside sculptures from the SWELL Sculpture waterlines exhibition. Marvel at larger-than-life land art installations celebrating the Hinze Dam and the surrounding Gold Coast hinterland.

Once everyone is satiated with art and food, guests can frolic in the forest and choose their own adventure for the afternoon. More tipples and nipples await at the breathtaking Bower Estate Ridge, where guests can enjoy a local tasting experience featuring the region’s own cheeses and honey, while dancing the afternoon away to live music. Those wanting to lose themselves in the surroundings can do so by taking a Horticulture Tour around The Bower Estate, led by knowledgeable guides.

To finish this fantastical day in the forest, you will drink in the panoramic views of the hinterland as the sun goes down.

Tickets are $220 per person, which includes the two-hour long-table lunch and drinks package, Horticulture Tour and live music. For $30 extra, you can even be transported to and from The Bower Estate. Secure your spot now via the SWELL website.
