Full circle – Doughnut Time is back with a new sweets haven in Burleigh Heads
Say hello to summer and goodbye to your diet – Doughnut Time is back, baby! With ambitious new owner Peter Andros at the helm, Doughnut Time has officially made its return, with its flagship Gold Coast store now open in Burleigh Heads.
We were among the many lovers of Doughnut Time’s deep-fried rounds of goodness to let out a sugar-coated cheer when it was announced that the once-iconic doughnut empire would make a triumphant return, after new owner – health-industry businessman Peter Andros – took the reins following the company’s spectacular fall from grace. We’ve been waiting with bated breath and now the (doughnut) time has come – its first Gold Coast location has opened on Burleigh’s James Street.
You’ll find most of your classic Doughnut Time favourites on offer like the simple-yet-glorious glazed doughnut The O.G, the M&M-topped Slim Shady, the Nutella-injected Love at First Bite, Pump up the Jam, the salted-caramel infused Veruca Salt doughnut and more. New flavours, including vegan and protein-infused varieties, are expected to roll out over the coming month. The Burleigh Heads store will be promptly followed by a second Doughnut Time location for the Gold Coast, with a space at Westfield Coomera to open by the end of December.
