If the offspring are going a little bit stir-crazy from being holed up inside, fear not because The Summer Series at The Arts Centre Gold Coast is here to ease the burden of barmy broods.

The extensive line-up of events caters to a broad range of ages with events specifically for kids right through to events for young adults. Among the roster is a series of dance workshops including Hip Hop with local legend Ben Veitch, Commercial Jazz with Ministry of Dance or Contemporary Dance with dancers from Sydney Dance Company.

If theatre is your thing then there are drama workshops that delve into storytelling and screen acting as well as expertise in public speaking by NIDA, the National Institute for Dramatic Art. The workshop aims to develop skills that allow you to think on your feet, something that will come in handy for the Stand Up and Be Counted workshop that is hosted by some of Australia’s top comedians.

For film fanatics, there’s a five-day intensive film production workshop with Bacon Factory Films that will result in a completed short film that will be screened at the 2015 Gold Coast Film Festival.

For little ones, there are two productions including The Listies Make You LOL! as well as the fast paced musical adventure The Kazoos What’s Up Croc?
