Little Truffle Dining Room joins forces with Torbreck Wines for an exclusive wine dinner

If you appreciate fine wine and equally fine food, then you need to put Wednesday July 5 in your diary – because you do not want to miss Little Truffle’s Torbreck Wine Dinner. The exclusive night will feature an impressive five-course dinner, paired with some of the best drops to come out of the Barossa Valley. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, truffle season is at it’s peak … so expect some magic to come out of the kitchen.

Little Truffle chef and owner Daniel Ridgeway, one of the Gold Coast’s most active restaurateurs, will be ‘on the tools’ in the kitchen before stepping you through the menu, as Torbreck Wines‘ Greg McGill talks you through the intricately paired arrangement of wines. It’s no small task when chefs and winemakers collaborate – there is a lot of planning, tasting and adjusting to get both sides just right. Though, given the calibre behind this event, we’re safe to assume that this is going to be a pretty special (and totally delicious) evening.

There are just 40 seats available for the exclusive wine dinner, and the cost is $160 per head. For those wondering and salivating, we’ve got the low-down on Daniel’s menu for the night. First course will feature a cauliflower and parsnip veloute, with seared scallop, chives and black winter truffle, before moving on to a tian of Moreton Bay bug and spanner crab with lobster dressing and avocado. The middle course is a glorious mushroom ravioli in sage butter with zucchini flowers and black winter truffle, followed by a main of herb-crusted beef fillet, artichoke lucullus, sweet potato puree, and truffle jus. Finish on a high note with an amazing white chocolate panna cotta with berries and honeycomb. Each elegant dish will be paired with a Torbreck Wine – be sure to Uber in to make sure you can really enjoy each drop. By the way, we reckon you’ll love the 2004 Torbreck Woodcutters Semillon – just saying.
