Located in the little town of Brooklet, on 125 acres of former macadamia and stone fruit farm land, luxe accommodation spot The Brooklet sits under the kind of breathtakingly clear skies you simply cannot find in the hustlin’, bustlin’ big smoke. And they’re not putting them to waste, partnering with Blue Mountains Stargazing for an extraordinary evening of degustation and celestial navigation. Feast your eyes on the mesmerising night skies of the Byron Bay Hinterland while feasting your tummy on an autumnal gastro-pub-style feast, cooked up by The Brooklet team on the Argentine Parrilla grill.
Led by astrophysicist and TedX speaker Dr Dimitri Douchin, this award-winning two-hour stargazing experience will include naked-eye astronomy, laser-guided constellation storytelling and state-of-the-art telescope viewing, unveiling the cosmic mysteries of outer space and sharing the stories mankind has constructed around those giant balls of hot gas, over the many millennia we’ve spent staring up at the stars.
Tickets, available for $135, encompass the stargazing experience, your gastro-pub feast and a hot cocoa to sip on while you stare at the sky. You can also choose to warm the cockles of your heart with the curated wine list from Luna Wine Store, available to purchase from the open bar. And if you want to star gaze until the sunrise, you can book accommodation at one of The Brooklet’s beautiful villas.
