The New South Wales township of Byron Bay has become a holidaymaker’s dream, boasting beloved beaches, a vibrant restaurant scene and plenty of curious culture to enjoy. Now, locals and visitors alike will get to appreciate all Bryon has to offer from Basq House, a new oasis nestled amongst the action on the corner of Marvell Street and Fletcher Lane. This latest project adds to the area’s sought-after suite of luxury hotels, following their league by carving out its own distinct experience and personality.
Bookings are currently open for Basq House from June 1, beckoning you to the hinterland for a winter escape. Fortunately, the luxury rooms, sprawling amenities and near-by culinary institutions will help make Byron a holiday hotspot even in the off season.
Basq House is set to feature free-flowing communal spaces and luxuriously appointed rooms encouraging guests to eat, drink, play, relax and enjoy. The hotel’s floor plan boasts a reception area that doubles as a speakeasy-style lounge flowing through to an outdoor area, a library with floor-to-ceiling bookcases filled with an eclectic collection of books, and a cosy area featuring a large open fireplace and comfy sofas. Hiding inside is Basq’s central outdoor haven, where you will find a resort-style swimming pool lined by custom cabanas and sun loungers, and framed by lush greenery.
A breathtaking skylit staircase will lead the way to your beautiful hotel room – each designed to deliver the epitome of luxury – boasting high ceilings and a soothing colour palette layered with natural materials. Basq House is proudly pushing back against the influencer-land reputation Byron has earned over the last few years. This new offering wants to refocus on the area’s thriving community culture and passion for health and wellness. During the day, the rooftop area will offer yoga, meditation and personal-training sessions, then come sun down it will transform into a spot for sunset tipples and star gazing. The hotel will also feature a multi-level wellness destination where guests can utilise infrared saunas and flotation tanks, indulge in massages or brave the ice plunges.
