The team behind Raes on Wategos to open The Bonobo by Raes, the holiday home of your dreams
If you’ve ever been lucky enough to stay at Raes on Wategos in Byron Bay or even stumbled upon the dreamy locale on a beach trip, you’re well aware of how undeniably spectacular of a spot it is. The team behind the exclusive boutique retreat are set to spread the magic even further into the heart of Byron Bay with an entirely new concept called The Bonobo by Raes. Touted as ‘where imagination, luxury and architecture combine to create an entirely new lifestyle concept’, these luxe hotel-apartments will soon become the new place to stay and play in Byron Bay.
Found in the heart of Byron Bay, The Bonobo by Raes is a unique hotel-apartment collection consisting of 41 unique two-, three- and four-bedroom hotel-apartments – all of which will offer the space and privacy of a luxurious apartment with the convenience, service, and atmosphere of a five-star hotel managed exclusively by Raes. The Bonobo by Raes, which is currently coming to life at 116-118 Jonson Street, has been designed by Brisbane-based architect Richards & Spence (The Calile Hotel, Cornerstone Stores) and are inspired by Byron Bay’s historic buildings. The lavish development is anchored by a lush, richly landscaped central courtyard and crowned with a rooftop pool, and will also feature a carefully curated selection of service offerings, amenities, food and beverage and retail outlets open to all.
An alternative to traditional holiday homes, The Bonobo by Raes will allow owners to utilise their apartment as both a part-time personal Byron retreat and as a hassle-free income stream when they are not in residence. Construction is already underway for The Bonobo by Raes, with the project anticipated to reach completion by mid 2024. That gives us plenty of time to day-dream about owning one of these picturesque beauties. Hotel-apartments at The Bonobo by Raes are selling now.
