Motorcycles may just be another form of transportation, but the effortless cool of the ride is one that can’t be denied. From films like Rebel Without a Cause and Easy Rider to TV shows and sartorial choices, motorcycle culture has an undoubted influence on modern culture and is possibly the ultimate symbolism of rebellion.

While motorcycles may seem but a humble piece of machinery, in reality they are incredibly intricate formations of engines, metal, oil and wheels. The time spent perfecting each ride in design, safety and mechanics is what many motorbike fanatics consider to be an art form. It’s this dedication that’s inspired the label Old and Butchered Tees, which crafts basic cotton additions for gents’ wardrobes. The New Farm-based label has taken its penchant for vintage and custom motorcycle culture and created hardy, reliable pieces of clothing that will last more than one journey.

With an interest in creating garments that ‘stand the test of time’, each t-shirt is formed from 100% ringspun cotton, with the fabric pre-shrunk to minimise any shrinkage that could occur once it hits the wash. Shoulder-to-shoulder tape and double-needle bottom hem and sleeves help to ensure that the garment isn’t flimsy and won’t suffer any damage at the hands of the machine. The slimline designs are currently available in ever-wearable white, black and grey and are printed with motorcycle-themed motifs.

Old and Butchered Tees can currently be purchased online.
