Hermès releases Vive Le Sport stop-motion films

Anyone with a penchant for croquet or boules will understand that dressing in your finest picnic attire is essential to a successful game.

Combining fashion with film – in stop-motion, nonetheless – French label Hermès puts a playful swing on its latest collection campaign, creating a series of videos with director, Simon Cahn. The set of four stop-motion animations draws focus to the label’s latest line of tableware and homewares, bringing each piece to life under the banner, Vive Le Sport.

In the short films, petanque balls sleep on plush Hermès cushions, croquet is played amongst self-chequered luxury ties, sleek shoes amuse themselves with leapfrog and tableware competes in ping pong. Simon Cahn even manages to slip in starring roles for the brand’s iconic Birkin and scarves. The young French filmmaker is renowned for working with Louis Vuitton, Nike and Olympia Le-Tan. Have a play with his brief creative works here.
