dopp kit

Pack your grooming tricks into a dopp kit

The original dopp kit was created in 1919 by Charles Doppelt to keep a gent’s grooming essentials neat and tidy and withstand the rigours of travelling. A common gift given to young lads upon entering manhood, the dopp kit found popularity during World War II when the US Army issued a case to recruits by the millions.

Essentially a luxe idiom for what is now more commonly known as a toiletry bag, the dopp kit is the subject of shaving retailer Men’s Biz latest collaboration. Pairing up with Australian leatherworker Tailfeather, Men’s Biz has handcrafted a modern carrier in which to keep all your shaving and grooming goods in check.

Featuring military-grade, waterproof Australian canvas and Italian top-grain leather, this wet pack features three internal pockets, hand-set brass rivets and a hand-stitched leather handle. Durable and functional, the collaborative dopp kit is the result of the traditional techniques and modern technology used across Tailfeather’s workmanship and classic design principles.
