Rooftop bar Sonny’s brings Tex-Mex fare and margaritas to Milton

As the home of some of Brisbane’s most iconic breweries and sitting right on the fringe of Caxton Street, Milton has a reputation as a destination for good times. It’s newest rooftop bar, however, might be a little unexpected – and we can guarantee that you won’t have guessed its location. Sonny’s officially opens this Friday, March 11, serving up Tex-Mex delights, tantalising margs and a killer atmosphere – and it’s certain to draw a crowd.

Perched high above the crowds with a bird’s-eye view of Suncorp Stadium, Sonny’s rooftop bar is designed as an exclusive pre- and post-game haven where up to 150 revellers can sip and snack to their heart’s content. Whether you’re a Broncos fan, are football curious or you just hope both teams have fun, Sonny’s is guaranteed to be a good time. For $89, punters can level-up Brisbane Broncos’ home games with entry into the resort-style rooftop bar, which offers refreshing brews, sizzling bites, breathtaking city skyline views and exclusive reserved seating to watch all of the on-field action. It’s impossible to not get an exhilarating rush when the crowd roars around you, made extra exciting with an ice-cold beverage and delicious eats in hand.

On game days, the bar will open two hours before kick-off, with live music or DJs to get the party started. Hungry folk can fill their bellies at the pop-up Mexican-inspired cantina, which will be slinging fresh tacos stuffed to the brim with fillings such as beef brisket, slow-cooked pork, lemon-and-lime chicken, and grilled veggies, all served with guacamole, a lime wedge, fresh coriander and Spanish onion. You can wash it all down with sweet-and-salty margs from local cocktail masters Margarita Margarita, some G&Ts or a couple of ice-cold beers. When the match-ending whistle is blown, you can gather your crew to continue the good times with a post-game drink whilst soaking up uninterrupted rooftop views. Sounds like a winning day to us.

To grab a ticket to Sonny’s, head to the Brisbane Bronco’s website. All bets are on you having a stellar time!
