TWE Women Of Letters

Women of Letters returns to Brisbane

A bouquet of very talented ladies will be reviving the lost art of letter writing at the sixth Brisbane Women of Letters event this weekend.

Regrets. We all have them. Whether yours are barely noticeable niggles or heart-wrenching game-changers, regret shared is regret divided. Connect with a community of fellow repenters this weekend and lend an ear to some very accomplished ladies as they read out their letters to their regrets. Award-winning journalist, commentator and author Madonna King, singer-songwriter Katie Noonan, chanteuse McKisko, comedian Becky Lucas, radio presenter Rhianna Patrick and poet, performer, producer and radio broadcaster Eleanor Jackson will distract, divulge and delight the crowd at The Zoo this Sunday June 1 from 3:00 pm.

After a tour of the US, UK and Ireland, Melbourne literary salon Women of Letters will be returning to Brisbane for the sixth time. Co-curator Marieke Hardy and host Michaela McGuire will also be inviting guests to pen their own letters, with stationery and stamps provided. Wine and cheese platters will fuel your wordsmithery and ticket proceeds will go towards Victorian animal rescue shelter, Edgar’s Mission. Find out more information and snap up your ticket online.
