Get ready to boogie the night away on Saturday March 25 and learn from the pros as they invite you into their world to perform for you and teach you how to lose yourself on the dance floor. Enjoy pop-up performances from a range of artists specialising in various styles of dance and witness the passion, artistry and diversity of Brisbane’s thriving dance community. Whether you like to pop it, lock it or hip hop it, The People’s Dance Party is all about expressing yourself and celebrating diverse bodies, identities and movement.

Following each performance you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the artists world and learn some beginner-friendly moves in a follow-along style group workshop. In between performances you will be invited to hop onto the dance floor or simply grab a drinkable, dab the sweat from your brow and get ready for the next performance. This smile-inducing production is suitable for all ages and is taking place over two sessions. If you’re into more of chill vibe the 3:30 pm session is for you. Recommended for ages 12 and under, this session delivers a more relaxed atmosphere with reduced sound and lighting. If you’re over the age of 18 and tend to come alive once the sun goes down, the 8:30 pm session is where relaxation is thrown out the door and the real party is started.
