Stories enchant at SLQ over the school holidays
Youngsters can step inside the cool surrounds of SLQ to enjoy some spellbinding yarns and hands-on activities from the library’s school holiday guests this January.
School holidays may seem endless at times, but the kind folk at SLQ have produced a program of holiday activities that are sure to keep active minds occupied and entertained. The much enjoyed Top Secret Storytellers Clubhouse will be returning to SLQ this month, entertaining the littlies until Saturday January 25. Created by seasoned theatre artists Tim Mulloly, Verena Curr and Thom Browning as part of SLQ’s Holiday Fun: celebrating stories program, stories will be recounted throughout a fun and hands-on series of performances.
SLQ’s holiday program will also feature a prop production and wardrobe workshop, build-your-own clubhouse cubby activities, digital storytelling and the Clubhouse Playscape, amongst other entertaining goings-on. Creative scamps can also try their little hands at claymation, comics, manga, cartooning, animation, flash animation and scratch animation workshops throughout the holiday season.
