Returning to Australia – having been based across London and New York for the past five years – Tyrone Noonan is set to entertain at The Zoo on Friday January 24. His performance at the Fortitude Valley venue will be the first stop of a nationwide tour and will coincide with the release of his new album, I’m A Believer. The former george frontman will be giving audiences a foretaste of his new mini-album, including its lead single ‘Forever Girl’, which features alongside the album’s collection of post-modern, indie electro pop tracks. The ARIA award-winner will be backed by Pludo, and supported by Night Time Fiona and Mallory Vanetti. more

On Friday December 20, Brisbane band Go Violets will share its blend of 1960s garage and 1990s pop sounds with Alhambra Lounge audiences as part of Friends. The group has recently debuted its first EP Heart Slice, produced by Sean Cook (formerly of Yves Klein Blue) and mastered by Greg Calbi (of Sterling Sounds). Go Violets’ EP includes its single ‘Wanted’, a track that was mixed in New York City by Doug Boehm. The girls will be joined by The Babe Rainbow, Jesse Davidson and The Good Sports, and the venue’s popular combination of cheeseburgers, fussball, ping pong and old-school game systems will be offered alongside the performances. more

On December 6–7, Passenger fans will be treated to the melodic, folk-inspired sounds of Mike Rosenberg at The Tivoli. Performing sounds from his album All The Little Lights, Passenger has been touring since the record’s release in early 2012.
