TWE Brisbane Queer Film Festival

Brisbane Queer Film Festival returns to town

Now in its 15th year, Brisbane Queer Film Festival is returning to Brisbane Powerhouse – and bringing a captivating collection of films in tow.

The most entertaining LGBTIQ films from around the world will be featured during the ever-popular Brisbane Queer Film Festival, which aims to inspire, engage, and entertain from Friday March 28 to Saturday April 5.

This year’s festival line-up will showcase some new events, including Camp Out!, Dragathon Closing Night Party, and a Q&A with Olympian Matthew Mitcham. The Queensland Positive People will be operating the Let Love Fly Candy Bar at every film session during the festival. You can visit the Brisbane Powerhouse website to see an electronic version of the BQFF 2014 guide and discover an assortment of memorable films. Queensland’s politicians may maintain some firm, old-fashioned stances on the topic of same-sex couples, but we can guarantee that audiences members will become thoroughly ‘engaged’ in the film offerings of this year’s festival.
