Let the Killa Coat Rack display your fine wares

If you’ve ever desired to own a wardrobe larger than your bedroom, where your garb is displayed like the gallery-esque minimalist zones of a fashion boutique, this Finnish-designed coat rack could be the first satisfying piece towards feeding that dream.

Usually, the curling arms of a coat rack are considered to be its most defining feature. In the imagination of designer Olli Mustikainen, however, the coat rack is a touch more streamlined. Made from oiled oak, the Killa Coat Rack sees a single rod running across the top, joining a pair of sleek stilts. Minimalist in design, this piece makes use of a central rod for hanging, with space for shoes underneath. The result means that garments needn’t fight for space to be hung.

The Finland-based designer studied industrial design at the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. The coat rack is an example of his more tame works, sitting amongst a diverse assemblage of a steel rocking chair, a jagged magazine-storing bench and a wooden log lamp.
