Let's Face It at Ross Street Studio

Local artists perform live screenprinting at Let’s Face It

Taking the mode of t-shirt artistry and meshing it with interactive live collaboration is Let’s Face It.

Effectively an art show, with the works able to be taken home on the night and exhibited via your wardrobe, Let’s Face It is a one-night exhibition of screenprinted one-off t-shirts. Promoting local art of the emerging and established variety, this interactive display of artistic talent and screenprinting skill sees 12 artists come together to create 50 unique t-shirts.

A face-themed artwork by each artist will be remixed into a plethora of combinations, where the unique forehead, eyes, mouth and chin compartments will stem from a different designer. Each shirt can be a mash-up of works by up to four of the artists involved, or part or whole works can be retained. Those involved include Claudio Kirac, Simon Degroot, Riki Salam, Mel Baxter, Skullcap, Dusc, Dan Hancock, Tiffany Atkin, Laura Strange, Chris Clark, Cam Mackay and Hadley Perkins.

Interested punters can pre-order a shirt in advance – have a go creating your desired design here – or arrange to take one home on the night. Head along to Let’s Face It at Ross Street Studio in Newstead on Thursday November 29.
