Veneziano Coffee Roasters has been roasting beans, distributing to local cafes and supplying coffee to West Enders since 2009, but its revamp in 2021 has reinvigorated it and cemented its appeal as a local institution. A refurbishment process has given the interior a bright and crisp new look, adding a full kitchen to the premises while also expanding to include a training centre right next door. Guests can pop in for table-service brunch and lunch, or simply order a coffee and a sandwich to go. Those that sit down will be able to browse a menu featuring the likes of crab omelette with papaya salad, eggs Benedict served on zucchini fritters and chilled coconut rice pudding, while sups of Veneziano’s seasonally shifting house blend Soar will satiate any milky coffee drinker. Coffee aficionados can opt for a sip of rotating seasonal microlots available via filter or a limited-edition brew from Veneziano’s Pinnacle Collection reserve list. The training room is where baristas from Veneziano’s wholesale partner cafes (and even home enthusiasts) could brush up their skills in regards to espresso foundations, latte art, work flow and brew ratios.
