Lune Croissanterie Burnett Lane

World-famous Lune Croissanterie opened a satellite retail store in Burnett Lane in August 2022, one year on from the pastry maker’s arrival in South Brisbane. This Burnett Lane locale is much smaller than even Lune’s Melbourne CBD store – a 45-sqm space largely dedicated to takeaway sales. Fresh pastries are transported across from South Brisbane via refrigerated van, with trays of Lune’s croissants, pain au chocolat and kougin amanns baked on site in Lune Burnett Lane’s own proofing ovens. Caffeine seekers can also buy cups of Coffee Supreme brew to go with their pastry of choice. Melbourne-based architecture firm Ewert Leaf has conceived of Burnett Lane iteration’s design, instilling the site with an industrial-inspired aesthetic, which will feature plenty of concrete and smoked mirrors.
