Citron Bayside – Opening Soon

The Venzin Group, the dynamo hospitality team responsible for Melrose, Darvella Patisserie and Pawpaw Cafe, are back at it, revealing details of a brand-new concept in the works in Wellington Point. Citron Bayside is the name of the latest addition to the Venzin portfolio – a coastal Mediterranean-inspired eatery located near the water on Main Road. It marks a return of sorts for the group’s founder Giorgina Venzin, who spent her childhood years growing up in the Redlands. Darvella Patisserie head chef Lindsay Krahenbring will oversee Citron’s culinary offering as executive chef, curating an all-day range that will cover breakfast, lunch and dinner taking in fresh produce from the local area – think fresh seafood, salads, breads, dips and some signature Venzin breakfast dishes. brew from Lost Race Coffee and Darvella Patisserie’s house made pastries will also feature, while spritzes and other Mediterranean-influenced drinks will round out Citron’s beverage selection. Giorgina is working with the Retail Collective Co for Citron’s design and with Tonic Projects for the fit-out, which will reportedly conjure up the same transportive vibes as Melrose – but instead of Bali, you’ll find yourself somewhere along the Mediterranean coast! While the team hasn’t confirmed an opening date, we can reveal that Citron Bayside will open this spring – stay tuned for more info as it arrives!
