Most folks might be content operating a growing fleet of award-winning food trucks, but Dylan and Katrina Pires aren’t most folks. Building upon the successful run of their mobile chicken dispensaries, the street-food innovators decided to give their beloved chicken-wing concept King of the Wings a permanent home. King of the Wings & Things is now open at Stafford Central – a recently completed development on Stafford Road that also counts The Yiros Shop, seafood stop Catch22, coffee dispensary Papas Corner and Italian eatery Tantulli’s among its residents. Dylan and Katrina snagged a choice 80-seater site that boasts interior dining and alfresco space in the development’s laneway. King of the Wings & Things will naturally be selling the food truck’s famed range of crispy golden chicken wings, with its five core flavours joined by a rotating selection of specials. As for the ‘Things’, diners should expect the likes of  racks of pork ribs, sweet-potato wedges and a secret menu. Beer is also a big focus, with brews from Stone & Wood and Green Beacon joined by popular mainstream varieties and a selection of cocktails.
