The Tassis Group – the team behind Opa Bar + MezzeMassimo Restaurant & Bar and Yamas Greek + Drink – expanded its portfolio in August 2023 with the opening of Fosh. This seafood-centric restaurant sees the group deliver an elevated offering of sea-sourced morsels, with everything that’s placed on a guest’s plate done so within 24 hours of being caught. Boasting a semi-alfesco space and a chic interior dining area, Fosh capitalises on its waterfront with nearly every table angled so as to maximise the view of the river. Fosh’s restaurant menu is a pescatarian’s dream, offering snacks like fish-finger sandwiches, kombu butter-drenched Hokkaido scallops and Mooloolaba king prawns roasted in XO butter, as well as larger plates of Southern rock lobster served in garlic-herb butter, whole sole, Queensland mud crab and an ever-changing selection of dry-aged fish. Around the corner sits Fosh Tales, a family-friendly fish and chipper serving grilled, beer-battered, crumbed or coconut-crusted cuts of cod, snapper and barramundi, as well as burgers, calamari and fresh prawn buckets.
