Pop’s Milk Bar
If you possess a soft spot for the 1950s and 60s, consider this your official invitation to step back in time at Southport’s newest nostalgic noshery – Pop’s Milk Bar. The venue is the latest from Jacinto Group, which has previously brought us Burleigh burger institution Two Yolks and Finn Poke, and aims to recreate that nostalgic corner-store vibe with striking wood panelling, a stand-up pinball machine and a classic diner aesthetic. When it comes to the menu, it’s a delightful throwback to simpler times, with cheap and cheerful jaffles through to burgers and sweet sensations such as a creme brulee waffle and old-school banana splits. Thirsty? Melbourne’s ST. ALi beans flow through the coffee machine, or there’s a selection of gelato thickshakes and spiders to sip while you snack.
