Good news for salad lovers – the team behind fast-expanding health-focused concept FISHBOWL has made its way to Queensland. The beloved quick-service concept, founded in 2016 by Nathan Dalah, Nic Pestalozzi and Casper Ettelson, has come to life in James Street Burleigh Heads. The sprightly salad slinger is on a mission to not only change the perception of salad, but change the entire culture surrounding fast food with its range of customisable Japanese-inspired salad bowls, which spotlights natural ingredients including farm-grown vegetables and sustainably and ethically sourced seafood and meat. As for the menu, highlight option The O.G. (FISHBOWL’s biggest seller, boasting salmon sashini, kale, savoy, beets, shallots, edamame, red onion, roasted sesame dressing, seaweed salad and more), is available alongside bowls topped with the likes of tom yum chicken, tofu, 12-hour beef brisket, shiitake mushroom and miso eggplant.
