Bulimba’s popular modern Italian eatery, Delizioso, has ventured south to open at The Strand at Coolangatta. Translating to mean ‘delicious’ in Italian, the venue has set the bar high but with beef cheek so tender the knife is merely for decoration tossed through ribbons of fresh Pappardelle pasta and a generous grate of pecorino on top, it’s got the goods to back it up. The extensive menu, created by multi-award winning head chef Brad Nascone, offers a myriad of pizza, pasta and modern dishes, from lamb shanks and pork belly to classic Italian fare such as chicken scaloppini. If traditional pizzas aren’t for you, Delizioso also offers an olive oil base offering a fresh twist on a classic. Delizioso also offers an incredible selection of wines to complement its menu, with Sommelier Nick Dempster hand-picking over 300 varieties of red, white and sparkling.
