That’s why the arrival of Kirra Beach’s new European-style bathhouse and studio gym, Native State, has come at just the right time. The Gold Coast is dotted with gyms where you can work on your fitness and bathhouses where you can stop, drop and unwind when you’re in need of some R&R. Now, you can kill two birds with one stone as we have been gifted a European-style bathhouse and studio gym that sits pretty on the shores of Kirra Beach. The very luxurious Native State was founded by Taylor Cecil, a holistic movement and peak performance specialist based on the Gold Coast. Part gym, part bathhouse, the venue is the perfect place to work out and rejuvenate through hydro-thermal therapies, state-of-the-art fitness classes, private coaching, a serene meditation lounge and knowledge-packed workshops.
The bathhouse side of the venue boasts a heated vitality pool, ice plunge, infrared and traditional saunas, a steam room and meditation lounge. On the studio side is where members can enjoy high-performance group classes (think cardio, functional movement, resistance training, core conditioning), yoga and private coaching led by expert trainers, all while taking in sweeping beach views. Talk about a dream workout! All-inclusive memberships are now available, while 90-minute casual sessions for the bathhouse are $79 per person.
