First look – Brisbane’s much-loved Vikasati Bathhouse is opening on the Gold Coast this weekend
We think we speak for everyone when we say, it’s been a week. If you’re in need of some rest and relaxation this long weekend, we have some excellent news – Brisbane’s much-loved Vikasati Bathhouse is set to open the doors to a dreamy new Southport location tomorrow! Bringing hot and cold plunge pools, a stand-up ice bath and one of Australia’s largest saunas – here’s what you can expect from the new relaxation station.
You’ll find Vikasati Bathhouse nestled within the beautiful new precinct The Alcove, which has sprung to life in following the opening of FARINA & Co. Hoping to emulate the success of their Brisbane location, founders Ben Murphy and Will Stodulka have created a sanctuary of relaxation and wellness, complete with three magnesium-infused plunge pools at varying degrees, a stand-up ice bath and what could very well be the largest sauna in Australia with an in-built wheel dispensing water to keep things toasty. Here, every element is designed to optimise hot and cold immersion, a practice Vikasati’s owners Will Stodulka and Ben Murphy have been championing for almost ten years. If you’re new to the bathhouse experience, immersing your body in freezing-cold water might not sound like a particularly relaxing activity, the health benefits of boosted circulation and invigorated senses make it worthwhile. Plus, nothing beats the feeling of sinking into the hot magnesium plunge pool afterwards.
“We’re excited to open our second location at Southport, and we’re proud to offer a space dedicated to those that appreciate sunshine, fresh air, and a focus on wellness,” says Will.
The beauty of Vikasati is that it offers a non-prescriptive, judgment-free environment where visitors can access expert guidance or explore their wellness journey independently. “We’re driven to make bathhouse rejuvenation accessible to all. We have purposefully designed a space dedicated to wellness and recovery that is part of the local community, at a price point that allows our members to make it a part of their weekly routine,” Will added.
Vikasati Bathhouse offers casual sessions starting from $46, while foundation memberships are available for a strictly limited time for just $20 per week! Nab yours here.
Vikasati Bathhouse officially opens on Saturday October 5 – head to our Stumble Guide for opening times and booking details.
