Caffeine Kings brings beats and brews to Miami

The musty old Laundromat on the Gold Coast Highway has been given a moody makeover as Caffeine Kings brings a little Melbourne laneway vibe to Miami.

The spirited sounds of NOFX and Refused resonate through the matte-black graffiti-covered establishment interrupted only by the hissing of the coffee machine and the murmur of conversations. Caffeine Kings is the manifestation of owners James and Jess’ favourite things – all-day breakfast, punk music and exceptional coffee. The latter is sourced from Melbourne’s Five Senses and offers a rich flavourful blend that is balanced and heavy bodied. For purists, there is also a Tanzanian single origin from Tembo Tembo Estate that offers hints of dark chocolate, cherry and cocoa for a sweetly tart taste.

The nosh is refreshingly uncomplicated and perfect for people who enjoy breakfast for lunch. For a lighter start, bite into a smoked salmon bagel or smashed avocado for just $10 or go the whole hog and tuck into the Kings Feast that offers bacon, egg, mushrooms, roasted tomato, spinach and feta on sourdough for $14. The equally as appetising lunch menu offers a selection of focaccias and salads for midday munchies that won’t break the bank.
