As the days get shorter and the nights grow colder we tend to head inside for sources of entertainment. Luckily, The Star has a jam-packed line-up of performers that will get us out of the house and have us all looking forward to the change of season.

Laugh out loud with Russell Howard: Join ‘the uplifting Comedy King’ Russell Howard as he shares his unique take on the world at large. In a world of misery, Russell reminds us of the good news in the most hilarious way. Performing on Monday March 4, you can start the week on a high. 

Enjoy an unfunny evening with Tim Minchin and his piano: Fans of Tim Minchin will have a rare glimpse into the art and craft of his songwriting on Friday March 15. Performing songs drawn from his 2020 studio album, Apart Together, from his musicals, Matilda and Groundhog Day, and from his TV and film writing, it is sure to be a night of insights into the musical genius. Tim doesn’t guarantee laughs, but he won’t stop you if a couple of giggles slip through the cracks.

Dance the night away at Club Vegas: If spectacular costumes and extravagant headpieces are your type of fun, then shimmy down to Club Vegas playing at The Star for three performances from Friday April 19 to Saturday April 20. Experience all the glitz and the glamour of the Las Vegas glitter strip in its heyday. After receiving five-star reviews for its performances last September, Club Vegas returns so that new audiences can experience the spectacle firsthand.

Tippy Tap up a storm with The Tap Pack: Hot to trop tap dance sensation, The Tap Pack, is coming to The Star on May 11, bringing a ball change to the 1950’s classic hits to now. Featuring songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr to Ed Sheeran, Michael Buble and Beyonce, you’ll be tapping your feet under your seat all evening.

Let love in at Nick Cave’s solo show: Performing a rare and intimate solo show on May 12, Nick Cave will be revisiting songs of his prolific 40-year career as an artist and musician. A lyrical master across many artistic disciplines, Nick’s artistic works in music, books and film transcend the mortal world. This show is set to be a deeply personal night with Nick.

Take one last waltz with Engelbert Humperdinck: It’s sad when a beloved performer announces their farewell tour, but Engelbert Humperdinck plans to go out with a bang. On May 16, the ‘King of Romance’ will play all his greatest hits over his 50-year career. Having represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest, he continues to captivate audiences young and old with his enduring stage presence.

Butt clench with embarrassing stories from Dawn French: British comedy royalty Dawn French returns to the stage with her one-woman stand-up show playing at The Star on May 14. Shaping TV comedy starring in the hilarious series French & Saunders and The Vicar Of Dibley, you are bound to wet your pants with laughter hearing stories from Dawn.
