Hung Le set to tickle funny bones at The Arts Centre Gold Coast

Hung Le set to tickle funny bones at The Arts Centre Gold Coast

Exploring his past growing up as a refugee of the Vietnam War, Hung Le weaves tales of touching humanity and mixes in a healthy dose of humour.

Hailed as the world’s first and funniest Vietnamese comedian, Hung Le is a unique figure in the Australian comedy scene. You may recognise Hung Le from his appearances in The Wogboy, Fat Pizza or True Love and Chaos but you can’t appreciate his true talent until you see him live on stage.

Hung Le’s stage shows have taken the performer around the world to comedic meccas such as the Montreal Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Drawing from his upbringing as a Vietnamese refugee, Hung Le’s comedy has always featured a strong satirical and political lean, with edginess broken up by musical send-ups. Part actor, musician, author, Hung Le is a wildly entertaining comedian who is well worth a watch – catch him at The Arts Centre Gold Coast on Friday May 8.
