From late March to mid April, Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms blanket the country in soft, colourful splendour. To celebrate the start of the cherry blossom or sakura season, Kiyomi at Jupiters Hotel & Casino is hosting a special eight-course degustation on Wednesday March 23.

In Japan, the cherry blossom is more than just a pretty flowering tree, it is a visual reminder that while life can indeed be overwhelmingly beautiful, it is also tragically short. Seize the day and treat yourself to an exquisite feast of sakura-cured salmon with nashi pear and avocado, kobe tartare with yasa caviar and prawn ravioli with bisque, pink pepper and baby basil. Move on to crispy ao nori quail, Abalone toban with Asian mushroom and baby corn and slow cooked pork loin. Bring your sensational spread to a stunning conclusion with a pretty dessert platter filled with sakura strawberry mocha, toasted yuzu bar and honey sakura mille-feuille.
