There’s not too many absolute beachfront coffee spots on the Gold Coast, where you can order a piccolo, down your drink and be in the ocean within the space of a minute, but that’s a more-than-likely possibility at Burleigh Espresso. The new hole-in-the-wall coffee spot is part of Burleigh Surf Club, and was created for the grab-and-go crew that want their coffee as a pre-dip or post-stroll treat (or vice versa). Merlo Coffee is what’s pouring at the new venue, while those looking for a refreshing iced drink can sip on an iced milo or matcha.

There are a handful of sweet snacks to takeaway including treats from Currumbin Cookies, while pastries like almond croissants, cinnamon scrolls and fruit danishes come from Well Bread & Pastry. Those enjoying Burleigh Espresso’s brews and chews can pull up a seat on the few benches that are located to the left of the coffee window looking out to the beach, or grab your goodies to go and soak up all of Burleigh Heads’ natural splendour. Your best furry friend is well looked after too, with locally made doggo treats and puppacinos available for all good boys (and girls).
